Collision Finding for Particles on Non-linear Paths

For many N-body hard-sphere collisional simulations particle trajectories can not be assumed to be linear for the purposes of collision detection. This paper presents such a simulation and explores the relative efficiency of several methods of detecting collisions for non-linear paths. The methods can be categorized by how they approximate particle motion as well as by how they search for colli...

The Polytope-Collision Problem

The Orbit Problem consists of determining, given a matrix A ∈ Rd×d and vectors x, y ∈ R, whether there exists n ∈ N such that A = y. This problem was shown to be decidable in a seminal work of Kannan and Lipton in the 1980s. Subsequently, Kannan and Lipton noted that the Orbit Problem becomes considerably harder when the target y is replaced with a subspace of R . Recently, it was shown that th...

Zero Temperature Limit for Interacting Brownian Particles

We consider a system of interacting Brownian particles in R with a pairwise potential, which is radially symmetric, of finite range and attains a unique minimum when the distance of two particles becomes a > 0. The asymptotic behavior of the system is studied under the zero temperature limit from both microscopic and macroscopic aspects. If the system is rigidly crystallized, namely if the part...

Non-Linear Collision Analysis

As an unsolved issue for embedded crypto solutions, side channel attacks are challenging the security of the Internet of things. Due to the advancement of chip technology, the nature of side channel leakage becomes hard to characterize with a fixed leakage model. In this work, a new non-linear collision attack is proposed in the pursuit of the side channel distinguishers with minimal assumption...

Collision Orbits for a Hill’s Type Problem

We study the planar problem of two satellites attracted by a center of force. Assuming that the center of mass of the two-satellite system is on a circular orbit around the center of force and using Levi-Civita regularization we prove the existence of an almost periodic orbit with an infinite number of collision between the satellites.
